Worldwide Geography

We split the world into eight Regions and explore each area for the best in Destinations, Sightseeing, Tours.

At the end of this unit you will know each of the major cities of the world, how to get there and what to do when you arrive. You will know facts about passports, visa’s, weather and currencies and be confident to answer the important questions from your future clients.

CRS Training (Computer Reservations System)

We offer tuition in the following reservations systems: Sabre, Amadeus and Galileo.

Having completed your training in at least one of these systems means that you will have developed the skills to access fares, make reservations , build a PNR (Passenger Name Record) and handle Special Service Requests such as wheelchair assistance or a specific meal request.

These systems are used all over the world, meaning your skills are transferable if you wish to work outside of Australia.

The basic training time for Sabre, Amadeus and Galileo is approximately 120 hours.

Communication and Selling/Establishing Business Relationships

Both communication and Selling Skills, as well as Establishing Business Relationships, are aimed at developing the skills required to build rapport with both your customer and your business partners.

In “Communication and Selling you will undertake a number of travel sales role plays where building rapport is a real focus. In “Establishing Business Relationships” you will be role playing too. You will be putting into action the steps required to build and maintain business relationships in order to succeed in negotiations with your suppliers.


You will be trained in CalypsoNet where you can make online reservations with travel wholesalers who use the Calypso Travel System.

Australian wholesalers who use CalypsoNet include Qantas Holidays, Creative Holidays, Territory Discoveries, Singapore Airlines Holidays, Adventure World and Freestyle Holidays.

We also have an extensive Guest Speaker Program where Sales Representatives of the major Wholesalers conduct sessions in order to introduce their products and the possibilities that they offer.

Domestic/International Fares

Our experienced team of Fares Trainers will train you on the workings of the most simple point to point domestic fare, as well as the most complex international mileage fares. You will be trained in Nett Fares, Excursion Fares, Round World Fares and Air Passes.

You will be trained in Fares and Ticketing 1 (SITTTSL013B) and Fares and Ticketing 2. Fares and Ticketing 1 is a very important qualification for the travel industry. You will need this qualification to apply for a Travel Agent’s Licence in Australia. Both Fares and Ticketing 1 and 2 form the basis upon which all airfares are constructed.


Students who enrol in any of our full or part time Courses will become eligible to participate in a College operated overseas Educational.

Our Educationals are aimed at giving students an industry type insight into an overseas destination. Your Educational will be led by College Lecturers and local tour guides. We visit all of the major sights, we inspect a range of Hotels and we get to know the essence of these destinations so we can easily sell them.

In recent years destinations have included:
China, Vietnam, USA (West Coast) and Singapore / Phuket.

Your travel will be undertaken at reduced Industry Rates.
